Story behind the song
A couples separation. They were always the 'party people' friends round etc. It seemed that they couldn't cope with each others company. However it hits the guy hard and he tried to belive they would get back......
Lyrics
Hey girl! what are we going to do now?, Now that we've fallen and how, We got to let it go now. You see! there is no you and me, That's the way it must be, We got yo let it go now. I sit at home and waiting for the telephone, Hoping you would call so we could talk alone. But it's not to be it all seems such a mystery, You never want to contact me at all. This road it gets so lonley and cold, It's hard to find my way, We got to let go now. I grieve, cause I still belive, But if we must concede, We got to let go now. The sky looks grey for I know there will come a day, When we'll turn our heads away at what we left behind. A life we planned it seems was only made of sand, Washing through the fingers of our hands. Hey girl! what are we going to do now?, ad lib

Superb vocals (very nice tone/timbre) and excellent mix. I like the 60's retro elements in this song. Great melody and very radio-friendly.

A catchy and well crafted song. I especially like the brass section, bass guitar and those dramatic silences. Top notch production. All instruments played with consumate skill. Nice clear vocals too. I'm gonna have this tune spinning around my head. Actually, the ending works quite well as a sudden stop. . .
